I usually love the stuff from this shop - and I would definitely recommend them overall, but I can't necessarily recommend this particular item, mostly because the leather band really seems to be faux leather, and the lining inside does not seem to be cotton (either polyester or a poly-cotton blend). Additionally, it could be due to my own ignorance, but it doesn't seem to be a legitimate German military item? It says "100% wool" in English on the inside. (Though, I do know of a couple pieces of German military gear that have come from US sources). Also, there's a big unmentioned patch of clear vinyl sewn to the lining right at the top of the head (the vinyl keeps the tag flat). So, I guess my point is, if you were looking for a nice lined military beret made out of entirely natural materials, you may want to look elsewhere!
